It’s a process taking pre-loved materials and transforming them into new pieces

Items that are 20 years or older are vintage

Why do you prefer to upcycle from vintage clothing?

Vintage clothing have history. Depth. They tell stories. 

Most vintage clothing are better quality.  

By using pre-loved/ vintage fabric, we continue the life of that material. This means less waste. Fairer trade. Greener planet. Whoop whoop! 

What is sustainability fashion?

Sustainable fashion is using fabrics and techniques that are harmless to the planet. It is important to us to use practices that are lasting and has a benefit to the Earth and everybody.

Where do you source your clothing?

We source our clothing from a range of places. From clothing that folks have donated to us to estate sales. 

What sizes do you carry?

We carry a range of sizes. One of a kind items may vary from a standardised size chart. Each clothing description has a size estimation.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Paypal.

Do you offer giftcards?

Yes, we do offer giftcards. 

Do you accept clothing donations?

Yes, we do accept in kind clothing donations. We announce our clothing donation days on our Instagram page (@ogsmiths), Facebook page and our monthly newsletter.  

Who designs for The Original Smiths?

Anélia a.k.a the Cool Kid is our fashion designer. Also, we collaborate with various sustainable fashion designers with specific collections.
